IMPORTANT: As of July 1st, 2011, functions once performed by the Wisconsin Department of Commerce have been moved to other state agencies and the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation. The former Commerce web site will continue to exist for the next several months as resources are moved to new web site locations. We will make every attempt possible to direct our users to the new locations as web resources are moved.

Wisconsin's Industrial Revenue Bond Program

Wisconsin's Industrial Revenue Bond (IRB) program now has more than $265 million available to assist small manufacturers with expansion projects through low-interest financing. The Department of Commerce grants the bonding authority (volume cap allocation) to cities, villages, counties and towns to issue the bonds on behalf of a business. This site provides business representatives, municipal officials, bond counsel and others with up-to-date information on the IRB program, the process of applying for volume cap, the availability of volume cap and the latest forms.
