ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW The Wisconsin Department of Commerce must complete the Environmental Review process, also called the Request for Release of Funds, prior to expending any HUD funds on activities that have a physical impact on a property or an impact on the human environment. Once HUD provides the Release of Environmental Conditions, Wisconsin Department of Commerce and our subgrantees will be responsible for performing the "Tier 2" or Site-Specific environmental Review on each housing unit assisted. To review the "Tier 1" Environmental Review Record and the Notice of Intent to Request Release of Funds, please click on the links provided.
