Distance Learning Homebuyer Education The WI Dept of Commerce, WHEDA, UW Extension, and MGIC (Mortgage Guarantee Insurance Corporation) have partnered to create a distance learning program for home buyer education in Wisconsin. The new program will assist buyers in fulfilling education requirements for down payment assistance funds. Potential buyers can enroll in advance and attend the classes by going to a local site. The students and the instructors will be able to see one another and communicate with each other in real time. Distance Learning Homebuyer Education classes are offered in Ashland, Platteville, Rhinelander, Shawano, Spooner, and Tomah. The 2008 class schedule will be available soon on the WHEDA and Commerce websites. -- Betty Kalscheur |
