In the State of Wisconsin there must be a way to shut the fuel pump off at the dispenser. Where do I find wording that states this?

Pump stop, as in a manually operated switch must be installed in accordance with NFPA 30A (1987) 4-2.3.

A control shall be provided that will permit the pump to operate only when a dispensing nozzle is removed from its bracket or normal position with respect to the dispensing device and the switch on this dispensing device is manually actuated. This control shall also stop the pump when all nozzles have been returned, either to their brackets or to the normal nondispensing position.

Commentary stated in NFPA 30A is as follows: The term "all nozzles" should be interpreted to mean all nozzles being fed from any one pump. A proposal was submitted to the Technical Commitee to allow a single-action dispensing nozzle that activates the pump upon removal from its bracket. After due consideration, the proposal was rejected. The Commitee felt that the second positive action by the user ensured greater attention to the dispensing operation. The single-action dispensing nozzle failed to provide a positive pump shutoff. The Commitee felt that the proponent did not demonstrate that safetty was enhanced by the single-action nozzle.
