China's New National Public Holidays
The Chinese government officially shortened one of the country's three
"Golden Week" holidays and has recognized three traditional holidays as
new official one-day public holidays. The new national public
holidays are Tomb-Sweeping (Memorial) Day, Dragon Boat Festival, and
Mid-Autumn Festival. The dates of some holidays have been
adjusted so that the holiday period can extend into the following
weekend.
