Bachhuber Manufacturing Receives Export Achievement Certificate
In a ceremony held on August 28, Congressman Tom Petri, Wisconsin 6th Congressional District, presented the Export Achievement Certificate to Bachhuber Manufacturing Corp. of Mayville.  The award was established by the U.S. Department of Commerce to recognize small and medium-sized companies that have overcome obstacles to achieve success in new international markets.

Bachhuber Manufacturing Corp. produces automated press unloaders in various configurations and is a contract CNC machining shop.  The firm initiated its international business strategy in 2002, focusing on countries with a growing manufacturing economy.  The award to Bachhuber acknowledges the company's achievements in cracking the tough German machine tool market with the sale of equipment to Stanztech Treuenbrietzen Blechformteile GmbH, a German firm located in formerly communist East Germany.  Stanztech manufactures metal stampings primarily used in automobiles such as Audi and Volkswagen.
