Mexican Dairy Conference "ENGALEC 2009"
Graphic of a Holstein Cow with outlines of Mexico and Wisconsin showing up in the spots The Wisconsin International Trade Team will sponsor a trade show exhibit at ENGALEC, one of Mexico's most prestigious dairy and livestock production conferences which will take place at the Expo Feria Gomez Palacio in Torreón, Mexico, March 19-21, 2009.  This is an excellent opportunity for Wisconsin companies to network with leading Mexican dairy cattle breeders, milk producers and agribusinesses.  Wisconsin companies most likely to benefit from this trade building event are those that sell dairy equipment, feed, genetics and other products to meet dairy industry customers’ needs.

The trade show is held in one of the leading dairy producing regions of Mexico - La Laguna.  To learn more about the dairy industry in Mexico, view the Mexico Market Report on the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection's website.

Wisconsin companies participating in the event will receive shared exhibit space and assistance in coordinating their itinerary and participation in the event. The cost to participate in the shared exhibit space is $400, which includes conference registration.  The conference schedule allows attendees ample time to visit the trade show and learn about your products and services.  At the conclusion of the conference, exhibitors and participants are invited to a guided tour of dairy farms, beef feeding and local horticulture businesses.

If you are interested contact Mr. Dan Vogel, Agricultural Marketing Consultant at the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection, dan.vogel@wisconsin.gov, (608) 224-5113.  The deadline to sign-up is February 16, 2009.
