Export Seminar: From the Basics and Beyond
An all-day seminar for food exporters entitled “Export Seminar: From the Basics and Beyond” will be held at Fox Valley Technical College in Appleton on April 22, 2009.

The program will cover:
  • how to identify markets for your food and agricultural products,
  • where to go for export documentation information,
  • the best methods for handling orders and shipments,
  • how to finance your export transactions,
  • how to build a network of public and private export assistance and make profitable use of export promotional activities.
From the Basics and Beyond is sponsored by Food Export Association of the Midwest and the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection. Whether your firm is new to exporting or in need of a refresher on the latest ideas and techniques, this comprehensive seminar provides the nuts-and-bolts information you will need to successfully export your products.

In addition, all pre-registered participants will receive a free comprehensive market evaluation for their company's products. Participants will also have the chance to network with other exporters from throughout Wisconsin.

Cost is $50 per person and the registration deadline is April 8, 2009.  For more information, contact Jen Pino-Gallagher, Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection, jen.pinogallagher@wisconsin.gov, (608) 224-5125.
