Japanese Knowledge Coming to Wisconsin -

#9f0000Cancelled

The Knowledge Management Society of Japan will hold its 4th annual conference at the Fluno Center at UW-Madison, September 1-2, 2009.  Previous meetings have been held in Japan, Brazil, and the south of France.  The conference is focused on knowledge management in its many forms, including risk management, business best practices, and benchmarking.  Business and academic executives and students from Japan, the United States, and many other countries are expected to attend the event.

One Japanese executive defines knowledge management as “a systematic approach to discovering, understanding, sharing, creating and utilizing Chi (Knowledge + Wisdom + Mind) that will produce value for stakeholders such as customers, employees, managers, shareholders, business partners and society. It aims at establishing and maintaining effective and efficient systems of transferring Chi smoothly to the right people at the right place and at the right time.”  Click here for more information.
