Governor Doyle Announces Funding for Applied Data Consultants

Project to create 17 jobs

MADISON - Governor Jim Doyle today announced that Applied Data Consultants, Eau Claire, Chippewa County, will receive $100,000 in Technology Zone tax credits. The project is expected to create 17 new positions.

"In order to compete in the global economy it's important we move industries, companies, and communities forward, and create good-paying jobs for our citizens," said Governor Doyle. "I am pleased that Applied Data Consultants is purchasing the equipment needed to keep up with the maturing technology of the geographic information systems industry."

Applied Data Consultants was founded in 1996 as a full-service geographic information systems (GIS) firm. The company supplies GIS services like data conversion and custom GIS application development. Applied Data Consultants plans to purchase new computer equipment and server room machinery. Total cost of the project is $308,600. The project will create 17 new jobs.
