Project to create 36 jobs

MADISON - Governor Jim Doyle today announced that AVISTA Incorporated, Platteville, Grant County, will receive $231,000 in Community Development Zone tax credits for an expansion project.

"Software engineering is a growing industry in our economy, and we want to invest in projects that will keep our technology base strong and growing," Gov. Doyle said. "I am pleased that we could assist AVISTA Incorporated with this project."

AVISTA Incorporated manufactures safety-and-mission critical software engineering services to aerospace and defense customers. The company will use the funds to expand its professional services office space, which will be leased from the Platteville Business Incubator. The project is expected to create 36 jobs and retain 118 jobs.
