MADISON - Department of Commerce (Commerce) Deputy Aaron Olver today announced that Commerce has delegated Rock County an appointed agent to regulate erosion control, sediment control and storm water management for commercial buildings in the unincorporated municipalities of the Rock County area.

"Rock County joins more than 190 other state municipalities that have been delegated the authority to perform regulatory activities on behalf of Commerce," Olver said. "Appointed agents have the responsibility to provide services on behalf of the state as well as their own enforcement activities on commercial buildings within the scope of their delegated authority."

Under agent delegation agreement, Andrew Baker will be responsible for regulating erosion and sediment control at public buildings and places of employment for Rock County.

Municipalities seeking further information regarding the appointed agent program should contact Henry Kosaryzcki, Commerce, at 608/212-0138.
