Town of Buchanan Delegated Responsibility For Erosion Control

For Immediate Release: September 17, 2008
Contact: Tony Hozeny, Department of Commerce, 608-267-9661

MADISON - Department of Commerce (Commerce) Deputy Aaron Olver today announced that Commerce has delegated the Town of Buchanan, Outagamie County, an appointed agent to regulate erosion control, sediment control and storm water management for commercial buildings located within the municipality.

"The Town of Buchanan joins more than 190 other state municipalities that have been delegated the authority to perform regulatory activities on behalf of Commerce," Olver said. "Appointed agents have the responsibility to provide services on behalf of the state as well as their own enforcement activities on commercial buildings within the scope of their delegated authority."

Under agent delegation agreement, Rodger Reinke will be responsible for regulating erosion and sediment control at public buildings and places of employment, except state-owned buildings and structures, for the Town of Buchanan.

Municipalities seeking further information regarding the appointed agent program should contact Henry Kosaryzcki, Commerce, at 608/212-0138.
