Governor Doyle Announces Funding for Northland Stainless, Inc.

Project to create 12 jobs

MADISON - Governor Jim Doyle today announced that Northland Stainless, Inc., Tomahawk, Lincoln County, will receive $250,000 in Technology Zone tax credits. The project is expected to create 12 new positions.

"Wisconsin is home to the best manufacturing companies in the world," Governor Doyle said. "Congratulations to Northland Stainless, Inc. for its work to expand its capabilities and create new jobs for hardworking families in Lincoln County."

Northland Stainless, Inc., founded in 1973, manufactures metal tanks, vessels, and specialty equipment. The company will use the funds to construct a 21,000-sq.-ft. addition to its facility in Tomahawk and to purchase equipment. Total cost of the project is $4.7 million.
