Town of Harrison Delegated Responsibility For Erosion Control
For Immediate Release: November 21, 2008 MADISON - Department of Commerce (Commerce) Secretary Dick Leinenkugel today announced that Commerce has delegated the Town of Harrison, Calumet County, an appointed agent to regulate erosion control, sediment control and storm water management for commercial buildings located within the municipality. "The Town of Harrison joins more than 190 other state municipalities that have been delegated the authority to perform regulatory activities on behalf of Commerce," Leinenkugel said. "Appointed agents have the responsibility to provide services on behalf of the state as well as their own enforcement activities on commercial buildings within the scope of their delegated authority." Under agent delegation agreement, Paul Birschbach will be responsible for regulating erosion and sediment control at public buildings and places of employment, except state-owned buildings and structures, for the Town of Harrison.
