Safety and Buildings Division - Manufacture of Fireworks Program

The Safety and Buildings Division establishes and enforces safety standards and licensing procedures for the manufacture of fireworks. Consultation and inspections are provided on the manufacure and storage of fireworks. Most fireworks questions involve local sales and use regulations, and should be directed to local building code inspectors and fire departments. The federal Bureau of Alchohol, Tobacco, and Firearms also has relevant regulatory authority.
