Community Development Block Grant (CDBG)
CDBG funds may be used for housing revitalization and homebuyer activities by cities, towns, or villages of less than 50,000. Beneficiaries must by low-to moderate-income.

Emergency Shelter/Transitional Housing/Homeless Prevention Grant(ESG/THP/HPP)
Funds homeless prevention activities, essential services, shelter rehabilitation and operating costs for city, county, tribe, or non-profit.

HOME Homebuyer & Rehabilitation (HHR)
Provides downpayment/closing costs assistance for low-to-moderate income households to purchase, construct, or rehabilitate a home. Funds may also be available to rehabilitate and improve rental property.

Homelessness Prevention & Rapid Re-Housing Program (HPRP)
Provides financial assistance and services to prevent individuals and families from becoming homeless and help those who are experiencing homelessness to be quickly re-housed and stabilized.

Housing Cost Reduction Initiative (HCRI)
HCRI funds are used for closing costs and downpayment assistance for homebuyers.

HOME Rental Housing Development (RHD)
RHD activities include new construction and rehab/acquisition of larger multifamily buildings which incorporate affordable housing units.

Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP)
Provides emergency assistance to acquire and redevelop foreclosed properties that might otherwise become sources of abandonment and blight within their communities.

State Shelter Subsidy Grant (SSSG)
Provides up to 50% of an emergency homeless shelter's annual operating budget.

Wisconsin Fresh Start Program (WFS)
Provides at-risk young people with education, employment skills and career direction leading to economic self-sufficiency.

Wisconsin Main Street Program
This program follows the The Main Street Four-Point Approach™ to commercial district revitalization.

Wisconsin Waterfront Initiative
Assists communities in writing a plan for the revitalization of their waterfronts.
