National Entrepreneurship Week 2008

During the week of February 23 - March 1, 2008, a celebration of Wisconsin's entrepreneurial spirit will once again be recognized in support of National Entrepreneurship Week 2008.

The focus of this year's celebration includes the importance of entrepreneurship education. National Entrepreneurship Week 2008 provides an opportunity to focus on the innovative ways in which enterpreneurship education can bring together the core academic, technical and problem-solving skills essential for our future enterpreneurs.

Department of Commerce Secretary Jack L. Fischer, A.I.A. encourages all organizations to join in the recognition of National Entrepreneurship Week by planning their events now. With the theme Create Your Future, entrepreneurial assistance partners will find planning resources available from this website. To build on the momentum of last year's successful week-long entrepreneurial celebration, the Department is once again interested in promoting participating organizations' activities by listing them on its website.

The Department is also interested in hearing from organizations that participated in last year's first-ever Entrepreneurship Week USA. Organizations are encouraged to email us highlights of the entrepreneurial activities your organization celebrated in 2007. Emails can be sent to Carol.Dunn@wisconsin.gov.
